Travel Grants
ESOF2008 is an interdisciplinary non-profit event seeking to foster debate on science and society. It relies exclusively on its partners for the necessary means. ESOF2008 is therefore not in a position to provide funding for journalists or scientists. However, the following organisations are offering travel grants for scientists and journalists, who wish to participate at ESOF2008.

2. Travel grants for ESOF2008 Eastern Europe attendees
Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft will generously support young researchers from Eastern and Central Europe wishing to attend ESOF2008. The Euroscience office and ESOF2008 team will be in charge of organising the selection procedure. Please read carefully the guidelines, and send your submission through the following on-line form. Deadline for application is April 10th, 2008.

3. The Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) has added to FECYT-CSIC-FCRI and Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenchaft by offering 20 travel grants to help young researchers who are related to French universities, institutions or research centres and who may wish to attend ESOF2008.
These Travel Grants are aimed at PhD students, recent postdocs, young researchers or science communicators below the age of 30, who are related to French Universities, Institutions or Research Centres or other Organisations relating to the French R&D and innovation system. The call for applications starts on March 17th and the deadline is 21st April 2008.
