Barcelona will host the third edition of the Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF2008) from July 18-22, 2008. ESOF is Europe's most important interdisciplinary meeting on science, technology and the humanities.

Without science, we cannot grow as individuals, communities, companies or societies. Research needs support and interest from society. Citizens deserve to understand our science-driven world and to have and share their opinions about the future of research and innovation in Europe.

We encourage the scientific community to participate actively in ESOF2008. We hope that citizens from different backgrounds, interests and professions will embrace this significant international meeting between science and society.
